Last time we drank this alongside the Paillard NPU, this came up tops. This time, the roles were reversed. Having tried other Rares in the intervening time, this '02 stands head and shoulders above the 04 and 06.

Perhaps slightly advanced: loads of charcoal and cedar, and entirely tertiary. Very good.
What a nose! Still pretty fresh on all cylinders.
