Awesome nose. No fruit. Elegant. Almost neutral. Some mint. Really needs air but I know what’s coming and it’s not fruit. Palate is rich, ripe, elegant and mineral. Had a bee sting effect on the tongue from the honeyed richness and all that energy and acidity. So linear and intense. I love this.

This needed to warm up from its stay in the fridge, and also needed air. Then the nose shows intense, almost pungent, minerality, and something that reminded me of day-old roast chicken pulled out of the fridge. Let’s call it a “poultry note.” Very lean and minerally in the mouth. No fruit. Short finish. Not my cup of tea. I haven’t had a Chasselas (Gutedel) in decades, and it’s really not my cup of tea, so I can’t rate this.

UPDATE: Night 2. Significantly friendlier and less quirky. Getting a little bruised pear along with much more settled minerality in the nose. A note of light honey. Softer and lengthier in mouth. Very bright and pure. Now that it’s making sense to me, I’m go giving it a numerical rating.

Brilliant nose of salty limestone sea air. Hints of bitter citrus also some peach and apricot. Some sugar snap peas as well. Super fragrant. Palate has that killer 2015 acidity. Wow. Balanced and so juicy with ridiculous clarity and purity. What length and balance. The acid and minerality is off the charts. Impressive structure as well with sweet tart like fruit. Stunning.

Zero fruit on the nose. Mineral. Flinty. Lovely. But it will get more aromatic with age. Palate is filthy good. Amazing balance and presence with superb minerals and purity. So long. It’s just ridiculously great.

Very similar to a chardonnay but for €16 this offers unrivaled value. Insane minerality with petrol notes and little touches of stonefruit. Immediately bought more!!!
