This nose is everything. Wow. Leather, berries, elegant, pure, smoke, mint,
Bacon, so much complexity. Light as a feather, balanced and so pure. Lacey. Inner mouth aromas, juicy and so delicate. This is about as good as it gets in Germany.

Intense umami deep plum. Balanced. Uniquely Baden. Awesome.

Aromatic and full, this was my first serious spatburgunder, and it was great--with a profile of plums, spice, bark, citrus zest, lavender, and cherries, all with persistence and balance. No roughness, and even an impression of sweet ripe fruit on the palate. Really curious to see what this is like in 5-10 more years. Thanks @Lyle Fass.

Well Hans Peter is one of the worlds best and it shows. Essentially unknown in the US which is a shame - easily top line Premier Cru level. Quite dark, Elderberry and tealeaves on the nose. Soft in the glass could be taken for an aged Gevrey. Long and lingering - dark cherry and blackberries intermingled with tealeaves with a hint of Rosemary in the glass -! Boy is this great. Burgs at his price point can not compete with this!😂.
