Brilliant nose. Red cherries, mulberry, spice, very pure aromas. Earthy and refined. Palate is juicy, rustic and refined all at the same time. This is the entry level Spätburgunder from Ziereisen. Delicious.

Fruity. PnP. Took about an hour to kinda open. Nice. Enjoyable wine for an overtime Pens loss 😡

Initially a disconnect between luxuriously musky/floral and sappy nose and lean, almost austere palate. With air, high-toned stoniness emerges on the nose, and the palate fills in with dark cherry sap and a intense minerality. Very nice.
NIGHT 2: cherry fruit taking over. Very direct and bright. Very pure fruit with stony undertones in the mouth.

Like a fresh bowl of dark sour cherries on the nose. Cranberry and some spice. Palate is lush and lacey with dynamic pure fruit. Palate staining. Terrific freshness and purity. What a value. Love this. Not complex but just joyful.

First impression was wowthisisaprettylegitsmoothoperator Pinot. Restrained, upper class type stuff, not too much if anything to attract unnecessary attention. Dignified. I remembers this was the more junior Ziereisen I bought, so I was curious the ticket. $24. FO this is a $24 Pinot. Hat tip: @Lyle Fass
