Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corvina Blend

Sergio Zenato & wife Carla produced quality wines from indigenous varietal, Trebbiano di Lugana, and passed down through generations. Blend of 80% Corvina, 10% Rondinella, 10% Oseleta & Croatina. Medium Ruby color with aromas of dried berry fruits, sweet & smoky notes with pleasant herb spice. On the palate flavors of ripe currants and blackberries with cacao, spice, oak & nutty tones. Fine tannins, long finish ending slightly creamy with cedar notes. Drinking well now, enjoy over next 4-5 years.

Cedar, tobacco, vanilla, myriad of sweet spices, 16.5% alcohol is not prevalent and tastes closer to 15. Of the Amarone that I’ve had this would be my pick to keep a couple of bottles in the cellar

Raisins and nut roll that just hangs on for a long time.

Very round voluptuous and regal. Sweet complexity frames with fine but firm tannin. Slight raisin note. Steak please!

Sweet, chocolate notes, cherry and plums

Too young, but it definitely will be worth drinking in five years. Nice sweet and strong flavors, but also some flavor of cough syrup. I assume the cough syrup will disappear in five years, but even aeration could not eliminate it now.

Dark red fruits, violets and herbs on the nose. The aromas are intoxicating!
