Every year, this wine dependably displays a terroir-soaked, old school character that I love. Nose has dark cherry, tons of crushed rocks, with spices borne on little wings of acidity ticking the nostrils. Nostrils. What a weird name. Minerally, brambly, and darkly savory in the mouth. This estate is to Grenache what Saint Joseph is to Syrah. Great value to boot.

Very drinkable today but I'd recommend leaving it in your cellar for 3-4 years.

Dark Ruby with sweet dark fruit aromas and herb spice, a blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre. On the palate dark berry fruits with coffee & cacao on a dusty tannin structure. Lingering finish ending with herb notes.

I’m not sure I gave it the right chance because I didn’t decant. I have another bottle and will try again

Earthy, dark yummy fruit. Medium-length finish. Excellent with pizza carried out from stonehorse. Drank after moving all dads wine into new house.

Classic Gigondas and very drinkable with lovely smooth earthy undertones on this 2011. Fruit in the background as a nice balance to the earth!
