This is obviously quite young, and needs to pick up some weight. Quite elegant and pure, dances on the palate. Drinks like a sappy Pinot Noir, weight-wise. Another very pretty Amirault, as expected.

Opened yesterday, drank over 2 days.
The nose is very fruity and intense with dark cherry touches, earthy notes, some raspberry and blackberry scents too. I could even smell some peony notes too. This is really inviting. The palate is wide and long and quite complex. A good acid drive, some dark cherry notes all along, some very soft and easy going mouthfeel that is changing in mid palate with a great tannic wall, which adds a layer of dust over an otherwise quite juicy and fruity finish. In the back-end though, there is a tiny savoury note that pops along with a subtle bitterness. This is really my kind of cab franc. Really good stuff!

No notes. Super joyfull wine with a Cola and cherry, good acid drive, good cherry fruit, good tannic wall in the rear, gentle drying layer until a long fruity finish. Great stuff!

Not so pepperish for a cabernet franc, strawberry jam instead. Joyful release of bell pepper er al. in the aftertaste. Mastered in the details.

Smooth. Not too tannic but also not overly fruity. Not sure of the vintage but while in Paris, I want to try wines from new regions, such as Bourgeuil (Loire region). Not the best I've tried but it certainly went well with my boeuf bourgignon!

With lots of air this is so close to earthy Pinot Noir from Burgundy than Cabernet Franc can be.

Nov 25th, 2017Nose of grape juice and rhubarb more than bell pepper. A little earthy as well. Sticky and acid, milky in fact. Maybe wait another couple of years before I open the other bottles.

Nov 4th, 2017Nose of barnyard, grenadine, strawberry. Nice palate made of an acid backbone that goes miles away, red fruits, herbs. Not ample but elegant. Quite long too. Lovely

Oct 7th, 2017Promising nose but somewhat under delivered palate. Ripe strawberry, raspberry jam, bell pepper. I had expected a bit more structure, it was a wee bit flabby. Sortof like a person who is funny on the internet but not as witty in person. But still nice! 🍓🍇🌶
