Consistently a solid value, I always have a bottle or two of this on hand because it’s so good-flexible. It’s got ripe cherry, dark raspberry fruit and plenty of warm sandstone minerality. The flavors are savory and with a deep saline minerality. It’s relatively full but its soft and rich enough to take a wee chill.

Fun and balanced. Light color, lots of all kinds of tutti-fruity scents, with kirsch the leading voice. A bit of crushed rock in the mix. On the palate, super-soft and fluid, zero tannin, and loads of fruit that persists into the finish even as some savory notes comes out. Simple and satisfying. Made for burgers on the grill.

Ripe verging on overripe cranberry and raspberry. Licorice and pepper. Metallic and hollow mid palate. Medium acidity and tannins.

I love Grenache and Australian Grenache is pretty amazing. The paella doesn't hurt either.

100% Grenache from the Barossa can have some similarities to Pinot Noir if made well. This is a great example, with its pale colour, pure red fruit and supple tannins.
