Such a balanced and fine Ventoux that juggles fresh and serious elements. The ripping heat of the 2016 growing season created a lot of tired wines in this region...but this isn’t one. As good as everyday Grenache can be.

Mineral, gravel, dusty, first impression, mixed of dried herbs of rosemary, mint and oregano, basil and mint, nutmeg and all spice, cocoa powder, chocolate, licorice, dried dark fruit with prune, raisiny, dried fig, but not ripe Appreciate different layers of flavors but high alcohol. Assumed reflect the terroir well. Can be a great food wine but drink by it’s own could be a challenge. Med to med plus tannin, med acidity, leave your mouth dry. A bit unbalance from my taste.

This is a wine that is better paired with food, and even then, not even a strip loin could save it. Too much berries, and a bit of acid that overpowers the finish.
