Exmoor Margaret River Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend
Very approachable and perfect with food. Sémillon softens the Sauvignon Blanc and add complexity.

Jul 15th, 2018Yep I have no problem being a guinea pig when it involves Margaret River wine and sangria. The Xanadu team kindly sent over a couple of bottles of their 'Exmoor' 2015 SBS (Sauv Blanc & Sem blend) for me to try out their white wine sangria recipe, which you can find here -> travellingcorkscrew.com.au/the-white-wine-sangria-recipe and you can also try it at the upcoming Food Truck Rumble on Sunday 26th of March 🚚🥂
Naturally before you put any wine in a cocktail or food you have to try it first as putting bad wine in something you intent to drink or eat is a no no.
It's a very pale yellow on the eye with a tiny hint of green. It's crazily aromatic with a bouquet of grassiness, herbs and pineapple hunting out your nostrils as soon as you crack the cap. The nose didn't at all prepare me for the super approachable and smooth guava infused palate - it seems very restrained compared to the nose. And to be honest a few glasses were downed before the rest went into the sangria jug - I couldn't resist.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #gifted #tcweekdaywine #tctastingnotes

Tastes of green pepper and melon. Not the best white.

Oct 19th, 2019Fresh and bright. Wish I could have concentrated a bit more on it- had it late in the night. Probably had had enough by then. Oh well... haven’t had an Aussie sav blanc / semillion in ages

Jul 15th, 2019Sharp and tart like a mother-in-law‘s tongue. This wine had the under the tongue mouth watering acidity offset with melon and Whiteflower notes. Lemon citrus more so than grapefruit or orange. Refreshing and crisp on a blustery warm day.
