A touch of talc on the nose - a note of pineapple juice, peach and slatey mineral. German dry Riesling like this one can still be reasonably sweet. An excellent Riesling as you would expect for a GG but top quality Australian Riesling from the Clare or Eden Valleys represent better value for money IMO.

At lunch at the Grand Cru Burgundy tasting. Roscoe, the Fine Wine manager from PWS is a huge fan of German Riesling and this is a fine example being a GG showing peach and mineral.

Great nose. Citrus oil. Terrific mouthfeel and seriously aggressive minerality. Some cherry fruit and dazzling purity. Great delineation of flavors and pitter patter of a finish.

Tremendous Riesling here, big beam of stone fruit and acidity, lush, but still tightly coiled. Fun to watch it open up. Not at all petrolly, great wine for me.
