Huge nose of citrus, pineapple, guava and more. Smells like a Riesling Pina Colada. Pink grapefruit and very piquant and precise aromas. Palate is so 21. Huge angles and acid and lean but ripe fruit. Unreal fruit clarity and freshness. Great acidity and a long minerals and citrus finish.

A touch of talc on the nose - a note of pineapple juice, peach and slatey mineral. German dry Riesling like this one can still be reasonably sweet. An excellent Riesling as you would expect for a GG but top quality Australian Riesling from the Clare or Eden Valleys represent better value for money IMO.

At lunch at the Grand Cru Burgundy tasting. Roscoe, the Fine Wine manager from PWS is a huge fan of German Riesling and this is a fine example being a GG showing peach and mineral.

Tremendous Riesling here, big beam of stone fruit and acidity, lush, but still tightly coiled. Fun to watch it open up. Not at all petrolly, great wine for me.
