Dark ruby color. Blend of fruit from two different vineyards. Touch of Petite Syrah is added. Beautiful aromatics and flavors of cooked ripe red and blue berries, cloves and chocolate. Lush and full but medium bodied with a very soft tannin (velvety smooth) structure. Excellent bottle!

Initial taste is light flavoring, with a stronger, smooth plum finish. Acidic bite through the tasting. Nice aromatic smell.

I am enjoying 3rd bottle as much as the first( not all on the same day..... I am not a lush!). Pleasant aftertaste, easy drinking, beautiful wine. Probably costs too much, but Wente accidentally sent us our shipment twice. When I alerted them to their error they gave us the extra four bottles free of charge! SWEET!

2009 vintage. Very brambly with wild blackberry, black raspberry, blueberry, fresh black fig. Body a little thin upon opening, but fleshed out really well as it sat, taking on spice and barrel notes. Very tasty and good quality.
