Jul 10th, 2018Straightforward+fruits. Deep ruby. Lower temperatures: red fruits like cranberry, red cherries and cassis. Higher temperatures: cassis, blackberry and licorice. Not so herbal nor green like bellpepper, with a touch of vanilla. Dry+, mid acidity. Vervety texture. At first felt restrained extraction, but at higher temperatures it was fruity and straightforward good CS. abv13.5%

Jul 17th, 2017A real punch to the pallet! One of my favorite full bodied budget bottles. Deep blood red with hints of ripe black cherry and plum with a great finish of coffee and spice. Subtle tannins that leave this perfectly paired with rich meat dishes like a ribeye or some hardy lamb or a winter bear stew.
