Weingut Robert Weil
Spätlese Riesling
Rheingau, Germany

Blind tasted co-workers with this. They did quite well though tasters were all over the place on vintage. My personal preference is for more acidity but this is extremely well balanced with residual sugar. Simply singing with humboldt fog cheese!

Lovely and broadly structured with a viscous mouth-feel. Lots of peach with citrus, red grapefruit, slate and spice on the palate and a long finish. Excellent Rheingau Riesling.

German Spätlese grade white with alcohol content of 8%. Although it's quite sweet, no cloying detected. Nose is rich with dried apricots, peach and camomile. Palate is reminiscent of white raisins and ginger with honey. Pleasant acidity with hints of gooseberry well curbs sweetness to produce nice lingering fresh finish. Decent wine!
