2018 vintage. Great as always. Lime, white peach, nectarine, pineapple, papaya, guava, white flowers. Good textbook Kabinett. All hail the litre bottle!

2017 vintage. Very gulpable. Lime, green apple, white peach, elderflower, minerals. Clean, crisp, true to Kabinett type. Especially wonderful in litre format!

2017 vintage. Remarkably good, especially for the price. Lime, elderflower, slightly unripe pineapple, white nectarine, light creaminess, honeydew melon. Great patio pounder, especially in litre format!

A bit sparkling with some sweetness but a nice everyday white with our scallop chowder.

If I’ve found a sweet spot it’s definitely value Kabinett Riesling - $15-$25. Show me another white grape this consistent and with complexity in this price range. Much thanks is owed to Terry Thiese and the Skurnick team for making wines available from producers like Jakob Schneider, Carl Loewen, Muelenhoff, Selbach-Oster, and Muller-Catoir. Each have a modestly priced Kabinett showing plenty of acid and explosive smokey citrus fruit. This week’s was Jakob Schneider - just off dry with flinty, flowery, ginger notes. Great for pre-dinner snacking.

2015. bin 105 "No Turkeys" wine tasting. A little petrol on the nose. Some residual sweetness. Not a lot of acidity or mineral. Would a great summer sipper from the 1 liter bottle.

Really good...especially for a liter. Mineral, just off dry, citrus, delicious.
