Nose is so classic. Huge minerals and rocks. Almost no fruit. Maybe a hint of lime blossom. Really earthy as well. This smells like it was grown in dirt. Lemon. Some pink grapefruit pith. Palate is silky and so dry and focused on minerals and barely any fruit. Elegant and juicy with insane precision. Really high acid and just a driving mineral force and really long. So so good. This is one of the most essential Steinmetz wines.

Stony I say smoky. Less fruit more mystery. Searing acidity nicely balanced with that subtle creaminess of sur lie. Softer, sweeter day 2 with a pleasant green pepper flavor
