Mölsheim Riesling

Unusual nose for a riesling, ripe boned fruit, quince, butter, nutmeg, beautiful acidity, body and freshness.

Haunting florals. Just wild nose. Honeysuckle, some clove and allspice. Palate is nimble but concentrated.

Maybe the most delicious and important German Riesling we sell! And 2020 continues the streak of brilliance! Nose of nougat, minerals, apricot and herbs. So good. So stanky. Even some sponti this year! So clean and just amazing serene depth on the nose. Palate is just stunning. Tangy, citrus infused and honeyed with excellent clarity and finesse. Really wonderful finesse here. Lovely minerality and a stunning combo of skeletal purity and structure with a honeyed richness. No one can do that juxtaposition better than Battenfeld. Wonderful wonderful wonderful. Superb wine with wonderful juiciness and just so engaging.

Meyer lemons, very light yellow peaches, apples, .
Intensely mineral on the palate.
Lots of yellow flowers, soft. Expansive.
Nice companion to a red curry rice bowl.

Cool wet stones, smoke, and micro-planed lemon zest. There's weight in the mouth, making space for texture and brighter concentrated flavors. Ceylon cinnamon and starfruit. Bitter lime. Really great.

Lovely.

Elegantly Mineral. Like pulverized rock. Citrus. Lemon. Nice balance. Long. Always a great wine.

The finish is magic.
