Ahhhhhhh. Molsheim. Stunning. What a nose. Honey, tangerine, tangelo, super ripe fruit, just massive and dripping. What a nose. Ahhhhhh. Dense, chewy but so refined and pure. Wow, what an attack, mid, finish contrast. Long. Tons of mineral on the finish. Wow this is long and extracty.

2017 vintage. Aromas of quince, lavender. Mouth watering acidity. Lifted and lengthy. Beautiful wine

Yup! Prior notes apply, delicious.

24hr Update: This bottle and producer always benefit from an extended air time. A saline, honey, peach-lite note really shines today, just awesome.

Our first non-US Riesling for the 2017 vintage, looking quite positive! Decanted ~45m.

Nose has ripe peach, orange zest, fresh cut red apple and honey.
Palate is all about the citrus, a lemon juiced over top of a tangerine, then a bite of lime sprinkled with mineral dust. Crazy, but balanced acidity, just wow, what a lengthy finish!

Great overall balance and complexity.
I would opt to serve at room temperature to fully enjoy the (high) lingering acidity and the “mineral-bite” kicking in on the finish.

The first German Riesling we ever sold. Always has a spot in my heart.

1er cru from young gg grapes. The more muscular of the two most known vineyards. I’m not going to try and spell it here.

Had pork in cider for dinner. Was in no mood for subtlety.

Nose is a big-un. Dense as heck. Stone fruit. Herbaciois but not vegetal.

Palate has great minerals but they take a back seat to the concentrated stone fruits. Still has that mineral grip. Bracing acidity keeps it fresh. So damned well made. Mountain stream freshness.

Needs 30 minutes to strut its stuff. And strut it does. Ass whips grosses Gewachs from all but the tippy top producers.

Bought from fass selections.

A generational year for molsheim. Wow. Grand cru cut and depth. Almost rips apart the palate. Mineral. Acidic. Integrated fruit. Wow. Bought from fass selections.

Needs time revisit in 3-5 years! Quince, apple, sour Kiwi, Mexican lime. This will age to a beauty.

Wow wow. This is crazy delicious - exotic citrus/blood orange and yellow peaches on day one. Good mineral streak too. Very focused structure but not overly tight. Day three, more creaminess and it has gone full fruity pebbles on your palate. Don’t be afraid to drink now.
