Trocken Riesling

German white wines with tasting group. No formal notes.

Pale straw color. Light aromas of pear, apple, honeydew and some clay pot notes. Refreshing amounts of acidity and sweetness, bringing the apple and pear notes in very brightly. Light body, very little to no hint of alcohol. Great with the salmon and lemon broccoli. As it warms, much more of the clay aromas. Keep chilled and it will do work

Lovely dry Riesling

Unscrew and pour. My kind of wine. Intense nose of melon, lime, candied kumquat and a cotton candy affect. On the palate: stunning acidity, grapefruit, pith, soft oiliness, and loveky density. A hint of white pepper spice, on the juicy and mineral finish. This is an absolute stunner for the price.

Initially shocked by the lack of sweetness as I thought I had picked up the QBA. Alas, it was the Trocken which actually turned out to be a good choice.
Petrol, peach, and lime notes were a good foil for our roasted chicken and artichokes dish.

Cat tongue acidity and green apples. Touch of RS keeps things moving. Improves as it warms.
