Weihwasser Feinherb Riesling

Classic slate on the nose with some nice green apple and melon. Palate is super crisp and pure and with ok depth but more of a easy drinking style.

Too pure for this earth 🙏🏻

Nose has green apple peel, fresh peach pit and grated lemon, all delicate aromas.

Palate has slightly sweet citrus peel, sweet green apple, medium acidity, lightly saline on the finish, nice balance.

Quite quaffable, albeit a somewhat simple wine at this young age. Perfect serving at just below room temperature. Decanted ~60m.

Narrowest and most transparent expression of feinherb I’ve ever had, but should I be surprised with Dr Stein?

Perfect pair of pairings to eggs in a curry sauce over jasmine rice. Good to have the backyard egg factory 👍

Ulli Stein. Super good. Now I get the "Weihwasser" (Holy Water) reference. Lemon blossoms on the nose. Bright, crisp, pure. Quintessential Feinherb...very sprightly and light on its feet. 11%abv. Limey Margarita finish. ¡Hallelujah!

2020. Tart fruits, a little sweetness, and a lot of acidity helped this young Riesling pair well with gingery pork tenderloin and pumpkin raviolis.
