Dense and creamy with some generous oak. The striking aspect for me is the balance of acid (high) and the spicy quality in the finish (minty, cool, fresh). Very expensive and even, maybe, worth it.

Dusty candy, candied citrus, mineral and matchstick nose. Palate is wild— serious concentration but bright and light as air— then minerals like stones wrapped around your tongue. Fruit juice — drenched in sunlight — and sweet acid.

Nose presents lemon zest, spring flowers and marzipan. Palate tilts towards being tense, but doesn’t quite go there. Pristine stone fruits hold sway on the mid palate. Finishes with masculinity, and powerful acidity. There are no fault lines to be found in this wine.

17’ Wayfarer Chardonnay. Unlike the 16 that was a PNP upon release. This is certainly not that. The 17 needs an hour decanting. Personally, would wait until late summer, early fall to start enjoying them. Cheers!

2014 Wayfarer Chardonnay, FORT ROSS-SEAVIEW
PnP - Drinking in a perfect spot right now. For those people that have opened a bottle within a year or so of release(#me too). Open a another bottle soon! IT’S BETTER.
Waves of orchard fruit. Orange rind, apricot, banana foster. Finishing with tangy acidity. Very nicely done Chardonnay. 93+ drink until 2024-at Bali Steak & Seafood Waikiki, Hawaii
