Vintage 2001 | dark colour, frivolous smell: raisins, red fruit, hints of Scottish pipetobacco. A taste with chocolade impressions. A treat. | night cap with wild boar pate.

Whiffs of Walnut liqueur, and marzipan followed by liqueurous fruits with baking spices and crush Balinese long pepper.
Great globs of black fruit, with walnuts and almonds and more of that Balinese pepper.
Good stuff

Good port...yes! Figured it was maybe a mid 70's Grahams, but this was my first intro to Warre's. Definitely still hot with a ton of sediment...I'd give this another 3-5 years.

I know it ain't no Barolo or Vin Santo, but for me this Port gave a true "Vino da Meditazione" moment. During a busy lunch time in Alfama, Lisbon I stopped to check on a small eatery only to discover myself five minutes later in front of a cheese plate and a this half bottle of oporto. Everything stopped for a while, suddenly I was not going anywhere anymore, it was just this wonderful bottle and me talking. A great experience!

Enjoyed this over the course of a month. Lots of depth with raisins and dark fruit. Wonderful flavor. Really enjoyed this.
