Spicy and floral, the 2021 Chardonnay X Novo Vineyard blossoms in the glass with a complex, mineral-tinged blend of ginger-spiked apples, lime zests and sage. Luxuriously silky and soothing with medium-weight textures and depths of ripe pit fruits, this excels with tenacity and brisk acids that lift the experience despite the sheer intensity within. A burst of tart citrus saturates the palate, puckering the cheeks and leaving a salty staining as a subtle tannic tug adds perfect punctuation. While powerful and broad, the balance here is spellbinding. (Eric Guido, Vinous, January 2024)

Yellow, pristine clarity. Sulfite, slinky initially. Lemon peel, grapefruit and orchard fruit flavors, delicate, really refined. Balanced, incredibly well crafted. A shame I can’t afford more of these

Rich and reductive showing squeezed lemon-lime, crushed hazelnuts and a flinty minerality with a spine of bright acidity. Finishes with good length and intensity. Very Burgundian in style.

Damn Gina!

White flowers, lemon, minerality. Paired so nicely with chicken piccata. Refined, elegant wine.

Lemon oil, almonds, over ripe yellow fruit, musty and a bit of ocean.

Heavy reduction, bright, tense and tight. I love the intensity and drive, can hardly wait to see what comes out with a few years of aging.

I've had a weird relationship with this wine where I passed on the vintage when I first had it because the reductive qualities were too intense... A 6 months later I was loving it for it's tension and verve. Now here we are basically a year later and the reduction is essentially gone. The fruit has really come out and you can definitely sense the character of the 2015 vintage. I barrel tasted the 2016 which will be coming out soon and I think it's going to be even better! These are honestly some of the best domestic chardonnay I've tasted in my wine career.

The future of domestic Chardonnay. I wasn't even too hot on this when it was released, but now the reduction is peeling away and it's obviously great.
