Caywood East Vineyard Dry Riesling

As anticipated 2019 is way better than 2018. I imagine 2020 will be even better!

Would love to try another vintage of this given how rainy 2018 was in the Finger Lakes.

Laid this bottle down for a few years. Rounded out nicely. Great vintage! Great wine! Great family/producers!

2014 vintage. Peach, pear, yellow Apple. Petro, wet stone and minerality. M acid, body and finish. Lemon rind. Balanced.

#wbc15 speed tasting 5- apple, lemon, lime.

Light golden color. Aromas of orchard fruit, citrus, white flowers and an intense petrol note. Bright flavors of green apple, lemon/lime, grapefruit and white peach. Hint of wet slate on the long finish. Vibrant acidity and nicely balanced. So fruit forward that bottle seemed just a touch flabby. Crisp and refreshing. Thanks for sharing, Chris B!

Quite earthy and very dry. Not at all fruity or lush, but bracing and a bit rustic. Very different but worth a taste to show how varied Riesling can be. This shows terroir for sure.
