Von Winning
Ruppertsberger Reiterpfad Riesling
Broad and even a bit nutty. Showing slight oxidative quality with the lees contact providing body and texture. Alsatian characteristics.
Don’t know if this particular representation is going to be as long lived as I initially expected.

Medium bodied. Pure and focused. Incredible balance, harmony, and length. Not gonna touch the rest for a while.

Nov 8th, 2020Second vintage of this wine tasted. A lovey expression that provides one with those fragrant and charming notes that lure the drinker in while providing nice density and richness on the palate. To me Pfalz is Alsace with more elegance and I think this nails that view on the head. A really solid performer in the Von Winning line up. Flowers, ripe citrus and tropical fruit, ample leesy richness, aloe, bergamot.

Aug 16th, 2020Rich lemon. Round weight. Budding white flower. Tidy, soft mineral. Integrated presence of oak. Does burgundy make reisling?

Palate is an immediate mineral sting. Then barely ripe peaches. Like little Japanese ones.

Nicely aromatic with yellow fruit, vineyard peaches & apricot, some lime freshness.
On the palate this is a perfect balance of juicy acidity and ripe fruit. Creamy mouthfeel, almost Burgundian in style.
Never disappoints.
