Decanted 2 hours - first sip is superb but not mind blowing - was hopeful - just not going to be ever that wine but will be pleasant and produce smiles

Just wanted so bad to say big bold and beautiful - oh well - you can't get blood from a turnip - so the rest of the story

Deep garnet color. Clean. Nose of blackberries and dark currant fruits. Dry, full bodied. med+ acidity but tannins are not in sync thus missing the wow factor. Flavors of chocolate, cedar, cherries and pruney.

An interesting but long finish. My last one. I will not buy again as this wine really never excited me - still got to smile and in my world that matters.

Ripe black and red cherry, red currant, baking spice, vanilla, a touch of caramel and brown sugar. M acid. M body. Long finish. Still young but drinkable and balanced.

Nice well balanced Cabernet in a restrained style. Not too flashy for a '12 but varietally correct.

My favorite California Cab producer. Had the honor of pouring beside him in NYC, and touring his vineyard with Rebecca just before he passed. The closest thing to 1970's best cabs and incredible value. 2006 is lush full of everything you could hope for, earth, blackberry, leather, and a hint of smoke. A little hint of almost cognac on the finish, smooth and balanced finish. Acid still great and plenty of age left. Glad I have a lot more to enjoy
