Very complex but pushing the limits for a tasty wine. I appreciate the traditional method, but this is to be sipped in small quantities!

Varietal is Vitovska. Vintage 2004. This orange wine was prefect with braised short ribs. It was not as good with homemade bolognese pasta. It was deeply colored, with an apricot-y, mushroomy nose and surprisingly fresh mouthfeel.

Vodopivec Vitovska Solo MM 2011 - gold/amber for this great skin contact white from Friuli. Complex and changing aroma of orange peel, pear, stone fruit, blossom, apricot, almond and mushroom. Great minerality. Medium plus acidity and nice viscosity feel in the mouth. Dances quite a bit before leaving you want for another sip. I just love this producer.

Нос соленый, выраженно минеральный, с крошеным влажным камнем, сталью, морской капустой. Вкус более полный и сочный, немного островатый, с хорошим кислотно-минеральным стержнем: сухая айва, груша, репа, руккола. Строго, небанально, интригующе, с точно рассчитанными тонкими танинами и долгим пульсирующим послевкусием.
