QPR alert! Wanted lots of air but slowly opened up with black pepper, wild raspberry, earth, and herbs with fine grained tannins.
Pretty epic Mencia for sub $20 on the shelf.

Wow! I find it mindblowing for the price. There must be some carbonic maceration involved. Flowers and cherries, and raspberries, a hint of wet leaves, foliage. Blood, or iron like note of Mencía. Pleasant medium body

Northern Wisconsin with the family this week. I brought wine from the USA, Africa, Italy, and this one from Spain. Very nice! I guess i wrote this up a few months ago, so no need to repeat myself. Excellent value wine.

This will work with the ribeyes tonight. A really solid Mencia for the price. Dark fruit, leather, some vanilla, wet leaves. Tannic and acidic, great for the fat I'm about to consume.
