Charleston Special Reserve Sercial Madeira

The Madeira Charleston Sercial Special Reserve is a light-bodied, floral Maderia. Dried flowers, mint, cinnamon, pine, cedar and mint are nicely delineated. Vineyards at elevation yield grapes that are harvested late at relatively lower sugars, yielding a Madeira that is especially dry. There’s good complexity here. Rare treat.

Chocolate and dried flowers on the nose. Medium dry. Almost scotch like........without any present alcohol.

This is a dry style with nice walnut and date qualities. Really delicious and the finish and mouthfeel is robust enough to satisfy. 

Savory and great with pork and/or apples (writing this days later)

My favorite of the RWC historic Madeiras.

I love this stuff. What a value, and full of orange and fig and kumquat and oh yes, acidity. Goddamn.

That tangy pronounced acidity complimented by dried figs, caramel, orange peel, dried apricot. Fantastic!

Searing acidity that carries flavor of grilled lemon, hay, and hazelnuts. Finish lasts for days!
