Black cherry. Mushroom, cinnamon, mint, minerals, candy cane, dried herbs, bit savory. Dried parsley. Old leather. M+ acid. M body. Front round tannin. Dried leafy herbs/parsley. Even as a 2005 still a bit tight.

Fragrant and elegant. Smooth mouthfeel- and an intriguingly long finish. Last drops - a few hours later tasting better more nuanced than the first. Lots of life left - really nice.

2002 vintage. Last tasted 12.10.23. Rated that a 9.1. Decanted and tasted multiple times over the course of 1.5 hours. That great silvery color upon decanting. Infinitesimal sed. Still, the big orange peel flavors but better harmony and balance than the previous specimen two months ago. Bottle was in great shape. 2.4.24.
