Big, tannic, and still had lots of dark fruits -- think plums, prunes, and blackberries. Wonderful to accompany ox cheeks.

Like old vine amador zin. Huge dried fruit with dusty leathery character. Really mature probably due to 36 month elevage.

Bigger, bolder, richer, still dry but more flavorful Plavac Mali variety. Better if allowed to breathe for a bit, pairs well with cheese and red meat.

The 2008 was very balanced, but I probably would have preferred the 2018 to more closely mimic what I like about R6

Stagnum 2008 Stolno Suho Vino ("table dry wine"). From Plavic Mali grapes. Dry as dust when you open the bottle. It opens up quickly, though. Chalk and sage on the nose. Instead of fruit on the front, it presents a lot earth/mineral tones. Smooth tannic structure that really improves as it breathes, with a soft ending.
