Vrhunsko Pošip 2023

8.9

Full bodied, touch of oak. Retains great minerality, despite the likely new oak treatment. Stone fruit/apples. Long finish. — 22 days ago

Rizman Slivno

Pošip 2022

This is a Croatian wine (not a German Riesling - the Delectable app has this listed incorrectly). Nice dry wine, full bodied, nice as both an aperitif and with shellfish and grilled fish. — 10 months ago

Marica Plavac Mali 2018

100% Plavac Mali, Croatia’s most popular red grape variety and also, recently discovered, an offspring of Zindandel, from vineyards on the Pelješac peninsula on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast. Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels (and another 4 years in bottle in this case). Notes of strawberry and smoke. A hint of cherry cola that I’ve noticed in some Zinfandels. I thought it would be a fruit bomb, but after some airing it was totally balanced. Earthy, savory, pleasant to drink — 9 months ago

Vinarija Miloš

Stagnum Plavac Mali 2013

Bigger, bolder, richer, still dry but more flavorful Plavac Mali variety. Better if allowed to breathe for a bit, pairs well with cheese and red meat. — 10 months ago
