Viña Sastre Roble Ribera del Duero Tempranillo

Deep Ruby with aromas of jammy fruit, pepper and toasty cedar. On the palate flavors of black currant, jammy blackberry and pepper, vivid acidity with fine grainy tannins, long finish ending with fruit, pepper spice, oak and earthy character. Nice.

2019 vintage. Decanted and tasted after one and two hours. Medium body. Pretty throughout with decently consistent push and focus. Another decade might bump this up to a 9.2 or 9.3. 1.9.26.

Very sharp spicy notes to begin but mellowed

100% Tempranillo from vineyards in La Horra, La Aguilera and Roa. Aged in oak for 8 months. Quite expressive nose with aromas of red and dark fruit, tobacco and some oaky notes. Fresh, strawberry notes on the palate. Balanced, easy to drink

Lovely. So dry there’s a nice pucker followed by full, rich flavor. One of the best everyday wines I’ve had in months
