Max Reserva Carmenere

Surprisingly more concentrated than the Cabernet. Black cherry, raspberry, sweet pipe tobacco, and baking spice. Not as much green/vegetal character as the Cabernet, which surprised me. An impressive wine at $22.

So, on a whim, Errazuriz decided to gut some black plums, wrap each skin around some black cherries, wild (a little green) raspberries, and a single cranberry. Dusted them with coffee, cinnamon, and marjoram and toasted them over cherry wood smoke. Macerated them and distilled the essence into a lovely wine that is lighter and brighter than expected and worth tons more than the entry price.

Full bodied with medium tannins. Notes of Cherry, Raspbery, and cedar, dry finish.

Good tannin structure, strong finish strong legs, acidic aroma but a complex, lovely tannin structure. Deep red plum flavor, strong red

Plum and dark chocolate with peppery notes and light tannins.

Translucent red color. Smooth with lots of red fruits, low acidity and low tannins. Good with a Thai curry.
