Sep 19th, 2021Va wee bit bretty on the nose, though also sweet fruits.
A simple table ripasso, with sweet fruit and huge tannins to temper that fruit.
Easing into the week..

Deep ruby color, almost garnet. Decent legs. Cherry and leather and bright red fruit on the nose. Maybe also pepper? Very lightly tannic rainier cherry, cranberry, and silky red fruit. It's good, but not my favorite Valpolicella blend.

May 5th, 2021Pale ruby-hued. Aromas and flavors of cherry, herbs, leather, pepper, and tar. Medium body; medium-plus tannins; and medium-plus acidity. Ripe fruit on the nose; a plush mouthfeel; and an easygoing yet full finish. Keen for the adventurous Pinot Noir drinker. Bonus points for QPR. 70% Corvina and 30% Rondinella.

Aug 25th, 2020Simple but a nice weekday pizza wine. Tart red cherries, medium-light bodied, just a hint of clay earth to give it some depth.

Apr 8th, 2020Notes of rainier cherry, great balance with tartness that was not too much. Lighter bodied and mellow. Comparing with the Ripasso and Amarone from the same winery.
