1971. Honey, wool, pineapple, coffee grounds...and that's all just in the first sniff. Balanced and creamy. A treat.

Brilliant. Perfect nose of bing cherries. Palate fully dried out / bound up giving immense volume on the palate. Coffee grounds, tropical fruit, funky unidentifiable pleasant things, and a good minute’s finish. Really lovely. Nearing end of plateau, buy only excellent provenance.

I get the coffee grounds @Todd Abrams. Fun to see that it still had some of the tropical fruit. Not often you get to taste something this old. Thanks for sharing.

When I first opened it, I thought it was completely dead. But then it started coming alive. Never totally popped, but it's always interesting drinking a wine older than you!
