Deep medium gold. Heavy weight. Killer nose. Notes of apricot, gravel stone, orange, tan spice, some ginger and a little toffee. Some mint appears as the wine gets more air. Rich and fat in the mouth. Sneaky acidity. Great length. Loved this tonight.

bought on release and well-stored, but passed over for opening because, well, it’s a 94. But Jeremy’s frequent experiences with lesser vintages intrigued me and convinced me to open this, and I’m glad I did. It’s near spectacular. Brisk bright acidity, menthol and mint, reminds me of a Ramonet. Lean delicious fruit and superb balance. Very grand cru, very much Chevalier. I like!
