Aromatic, bright, and firm. Probably too young, but it was a pretty show. First time around with this producer.

This is some serious sh*t for a Chianti Classico. Textbook nose of ripe, dark winey cherry fruit, shot through with warm gravelly minerals. Powerful but lithe in the mouth. Long, ripe, minerally finish with great acids. Got that wonderful transparency that really good Chianti can have.

Mar 31st, 2016What a bottle. This Chianti had the scale and power of Brunello but without the excess alcohol and sweetness and with more of the minerality that I love. It was fabulous with pork chops and risotto and had pure cherry Sangiovese fruit that managed both dark character and sour snap... So good!
