Drank 4/11/20.

Red cherry and tobacco scents, yield to similar, sweet red cherry and strawberry flavors. Finishes with red cherry and a bit of leather. Medium, juicy tannins. A simple, everyday italian, that wont break the budget. Will pair with a wide variety of food, or drink on it's own.

Dark purple in color with a light purplish rim.

Fruity on the nose with sweet cherries, strawberries, blueberries, oak, vanilla, metals, dirt, licorice, smoke and peppercorn.

Medium to full bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with blueberries, plums, raspberries, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, peppercorn and spices.

Long finish with firm tannins and peppercorn.

A Nice Sangiovese with a nice mouthfeel and good complexity.
A little light and unbalanced, but it is still very young. Drinkable now by itself, or with food. Will be better in a couple of years, though.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

High QPR #sangiovese - dark cherry, forest floor and leather aromas - pretty rich and plummy on the palate but still plenty of varietal acidity. ~$10 at Total Wine.

Drank 3/3/18 with grilled pizza. Excellent pairing.

Needed a wine to pair with pizza, which can often make for a difficult food to pair with. This fit the bill. Mostly Sangiovese, and I believe a bit of merlot to round out and soften the edges. Cost around $10

Nose of cherry, and a hint of earth and tar. Bright, sweet red cherry on the Medium palate. No detectable wood, but light to medium tannins lend structure. Cherries carry through on the Medium finish.

3/21/7/4/3 +50 = 88 pts.
Would highly recommend with pizzas, tomato based pasta sauces, or any food where a simpler wine is needed.

Definitely a good sandwich wine. Fruit-forward, spicy, and soft tannin. P good for a cheap Italian.
