Corte Fiore Appassimento Red Blend

Montepulciano done in The Appesimento style. Smooth velvety body with notes of maraschino cherries, red berry fruit. Underlying jammy component midpalate. This wine screams for some tomato sauced up dishes, pizza, BBQ😋. Definitely good on its own but will shine with food.

My self proclaimed wine-ignorant friend (Brandon) gave me this, because I like "fancy wine" and the bottle is fancy. Brandon has the best bourbon collection I've ever seen, but he only buys wine to impress his bourbon hook up. He usually gives the wine to me. Enough about Brandon, this wine is going to be fine with a meaty pasta tonight. It's pretty light bodied, but flavorful. Darker fruit, but not brooding. Just a little meaty, and maybe that's why I have Italian sausage on the brain for dinner. This would be good with pizza or burgers as a Gamay or Malbec alternative.

Smooth, yet robust! A nice Italian wine. We love the Italian wines!!

Lovely wine made I think in the ripasso style. Very enjoyable good drinking wine.
