A wonderfully sweet and spicy nose with nice intensity and complexity. The palate needs some time to shed some tannins but this will be very special if the fruits lives long enough to see that day. #brunellodimontalcino #valdicava

Followed a trio of Barolo with truffles and a magnificent dinner

This bottle paired with chocolate mousse and was a bit unfair but it held up and was a good change of pace to provide more grip

Overall nice balance of body depth and fruit

Super complex with 1.5-2 hours decant. Amazing stuff.

Not a great vintage but a great wine.

Black cherry pits, grape concentrate, cola, eucalyptus, graphite, bay leaf, tobacco, tar, tarragon, cedar. Excellent acid/smooth velvet tannin balance, juicy/silky texture, deceptively full bodied, long smoky/herbal slightly peppery finish. Decanting strongly recommended, texture and nose developed beautifully after 1 1/2 hours.

grosse surprise !

belle surprise
