Jan 24th, 2016Medium golden color. Aromas of unripe peach, lemon zest and jasmine. The palate is full of lemon/lime/orange citrus flavors and ginger with additional notes of green apples, melon and pears. Long and lingering finish that is a touch (but pleasantly) salty. Chewy texture with a high level of acidity. Quite complex and well crafted.

May 2nd, 2024This is the second bottle in the next #thetcwineclub monthly tasting box. And hopefully it's something new for you all to try!
Fiano is a white Italian grape varietal which is known to produce full-flavoured white wines with the potential to age. I've tried a few recently and really enjoyed the balance of those full flavours and the freshness.
This 2016 Fiano is made in the Riverland Region in South Australia. It's a sandy golden colour on the eye and it could just be me but I noticed some little bubbles on the glass. On the nose it's rather chalky with hints of dried herbs, nuts, lemon, honey and Mr. Spittoon was picking up daisies. The palate has nice refreshing acidity and weight - it coats every millimetre of the mouth and has a lovely looong finish. I like it!
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine #mediasample
