Medium deep ruby , with touches of pink at rim . Quite noticeable wide tears . Quite deep and closed at the beginning . Quite spicy , wild dark fruit, dried herbs . On the palate more of the slightly sweet dark fruits , plum and blackberry , also quite wild , touch of dried herbs , iron and mineral . Just ok length , and ok balancing acidity , quite noticeable but sweet tannin , alcohol warmth a little noticeable on the finish. This needs a little time , though can be drunk now . Will perhaps improve over the next 3-5 years and last 10 or so. Overall not bad just a little uninspiring .

Apr 11th, 2020A really intriguing expression of Montepulciano. Coastal and Mediterranean, but with a soothing northern foundation. Paired nicely with rack of lamb.
