Plenty of fruit weight here, good lick of oak, but overall a bit big and dry for mine.

Bright and floral with violet petal, tart cherry intertwined with rosehip, forest floor, desert sage and vanilla spice. Soft and silky texture. A real stunner. #wine #sommelier #canada

A complete tapestry on the palate. A perfectly woven balance of the right fruit, the right heat, the weight. Cocoa, tobacco, stewed plum, rich winter spice and a very subtle hint of rhubarb. Spectacular. A true shame Tyler stopped producing.

Sep 25th, 2022TH Wines never disappoints with another gorgeous expression of Okanagan Pinot. This is my last bottle of 2018 and we chose to have it with pan a roasted pork chop accompanying a warm salad of Braeburn-apple and-radicchio. The wine opened brilliantly after a two hour decant and presented mostly earthy notes along with wild strawberries, celery, and a hint of smoke. I savoured every sip. TH wines is gone now, Tyler has moved on to do something new, and he and his wines will be sadly missed.

Feb 14th, 2021We had this wine with a great dinner at the Mackenzie Room restaurant in Vancouver. I've now had this wine a few times and I've liked it every time. This wine changes as it opens up, but even the flavors of composting vegetables isn't bad at all. It's an intriguing wine that I will continue coming back to.

Feb 12th, 2020Delicious Canadian Pinot to accompany our Christmas Eve turkey dinner. I get an abundance of wild strawberries on both nose and palate with hints of forest floor, celery and very light oak. Simultaneously sophisticated and playful and a perfect bottle for Christmas Eve.

One of my favourite wines this trip. The Tyler Harlton Pinot is remarkable. Small batch, garage style wine making done with extreme finesse, he really captures the essence of the Canadian Pinot. Medium low tannins, good acidity, silky mouth feel with notes of strawberry, red licorice and herbs. Loved it.

Jul 7th, 2019Open this one an hour before tasting. It really opens up nicely. Not for everyone in our group, but its nose was most eloquantly described in the tasting ranging from "warm garbage" to "fresh turned soil in a vegetable garden". I really enjoyed this one. Lots of conversation here.
