Fantastic nose of blackberry cobbler, black cassis, and the smallest hint of eucalyptus to make things interesting. The acidity is a welcomed touch to the palate. The oak is integrated and accompanies the fresh fruit perfectly; and a smooth, vanilla note rounds off the wine's finish. Again...fantastic.

Nothing green in this wine. Big blackberry andblack currant character + hint of licorice. Nice weight. Sturdy yet approachable tannin. Echoing finish. From magnum.

This is Turnbull Cab 2012. The cork is perfect in condition. The color is dark purple 7/10, 10 being jet black. The bouquet was a bit "soapy" like an English lavender hand soap. The initial palate is blueberry and blackberry with a mild oak beginning. The finish is short and has minimal dryness. What a great simple yet big, bold cab! You have to try this if you haven't already!!!

Quintessential Cali cab. Nose: smells like a campfire!!! Toasty, nutmeg, vanilla, at the same time crushed black pepper and roasted garlic, reminiscent honey notes. Palate: rich, dense, beautifully floral, overripe plum, dried basil, definitely spicy but juicy at the same time. Enjoyed a pesto shrimp ricotta pizza.

Very nice, complex and well rounded. Good fruit (cherries or strawberries) and some woody tannins. A little spice and maybe some chocolate. Good legs. Maureen says "delicious, woody, dark". May have been a gift. This is a very enjoyable California Cabernet.
