Excellent value for its type. Not as complex as Barolo or Barbaresco but has all of the attractive aromas and structure if it's higher priced cousins. Very pale brick red with an orange rim. Medium intensity of dried red cherry, tomato leaf, iodine. Medium body, high acid, slightly saline, chalky high astringency outlasts the fruit coupled with a noticeable bitterness leaves a slightly rustic mouthfeel. Well integrated alcohol 13.5% throws no heat or prickle. Medium finish, medium intensity and complexity cassis, fresh red cherry, herbal.

Dried and candied strawberry. Lifted acid. Touch of rocky earth. Rinsed basil. Primary structure with no glimpse of anything further.

Let this breathe for 15-20 minutes and enjoy. It's an excellent, very drinkable red.

Normally I'd prefer a younger Nebbiolo, but this one aged gracefully. Pleasant earthy tones with hints of caramel. Needed a while to properly open up though.

Overrated Nebbiolo, but still smooth and deep with good earthy fruit.
