Racy and mineral but with some stone fruit breadth and pleasant herbal notes. Would be great with either oysters or fatty fish.

Sipping Fine Wine

Pale lemon color, aromas of stone and citrus fruits with smoky herb notes, 100% Carricante. On the palate flavors of ripe pear, apple and lemon citrus, crisp acidity, long finish ending with nutty smoky mineral notes. Can benefit from short-term aging, Nice!

The 2020 Tornatore Etna Bianco is deeply alluring, casting a bouquet that blends crushed oyster shells with green apple and chamomile. This is silky-smooth, with a pleasant inner sweetness that’s nicely contrasted by sour citrus and bright acidity. It leaves the palate nicely refreshed while reverberating to the tune of candied lime. Very nice. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2022)

Nice and fresh, medium bodied, halfway between chablis and albarino, its got a salty citrus tang, followed by underripe stone and orchard fruits like white peach and yellow pear. Its round but bright, subtle yet expressive. A ton of florality (mostly white flowers and pollen) and just a hint of spearmint.

My first carricante. Pleasant. Nice golden color. Minerality, light nose, more viscous than sauvignon blank or Chardonnay. Fresh fruit and medium finish.
