We opened the 2019 Tor Oakville Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

On the nose is black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, chocolate, herbal, black pepper, violets and earth.

On the palate is black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, iron, licorice, black tea, pencil lead, sweet spice and wet gravel.

This wine is medium to full bodied smooth mouthfeel medium to medium + acidity and medium + fine grainy tannins that move nicely into a long dark fruit crushed gravel finish. Here this weekend it is on the chillier side and the leaves continue to fall. Hope your weekend is full of love an happiness. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Another great Cabernet from Tor. A little cigar box with a lot of deep blue fruit - only one barrel made. It was very, very enjoyable.

Beautiful Cabernet - such a spectacular taste from front to back. It’s no wonder Phil Mickelson drank one of Tor’s other wines out of the Wanamaker trophyI

Nothing like an Apple Pan burger at our wine storage and a .375 of Tor!

I love .375’s and I’m so glad Tor makes a great Cabernet in a 1/2 bottle.

Tor’s entry Cabernet is a cuvée from their single vineyard sites (mainly Cimarossa mixed with To Kalon, Melanson, Herb Lamb, Tierra Roja and Vine Hill Ranch). The nose offers up leather, cinnamon and blueberry. Fruit-forward on the entry, cherry and blackberry flavors dominate with hints of spice on the finish. The wine is medium to medium/full-bodied - definitely lighter bodied than most Tor Wines I’ve enjoyed. Despite its youthfulness, it is drinking well - though I would suggest opening at least an hour before consuming.
