Balsamic, plum skin, cherry on the nose.
Tart plum, iron, almost sour.

Fresher and livelier than I was expecting with some darker fruit and floral traits. Light and breezy. Easy to drink a lot without thinking about it.

Jul 11th, 2018Cloudy ruby in color with medium intensity and a brick rim.
Nice nose of blueberries, cranberries, cherries, black currants, earth, wood, leather, bell pepper, tobacco, pencil lead, forest floor, licorice, vanilla and black pepper.
Medium bodied with high acidity and long long legs.
Tart on the palate with cranberries, pomegranates, sour raspberries, dirt, wood, bitter vegetables, green herbs, spices, green beans and peppercorn.
Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and sour cranberries.
This 5 year old Malbec, is on its way out. I'm kind of disappointed, actually. I had the 2013 over a year ago and it felt like it needed a couple of years in the bottle. This is kind of flat and lost the fruits and tannins, but kept a lot of the acidity. Unbalanced and very earthy with a soft mouthfeel.
Needs a couple of hours in a decanter to open up.
Grapes are grown at 4000 feet elevation, and aged for 9 months in French oak barrels.
14% alcohol by volume.

Black pepper and cumin on the nose. Plums and black raspberries on the front. Medium-light tannic structure, but not much happening in the middle. It goes from fruit on the front to slightly sour high notes on the finish with a hint of mint. Nothing offensive about this wine, but it’s not as complex as many of the Argentinian Malbecs I’ve had.
